Anaheim Ducks A188207
28 lb. spayed female, approx 1 1/2 years old
-She walks very nicely, with only the occasional attempt to sneak in a hug! 😂 Once in the yard, she wanted nothing more than to climb into my lap for snuggles and affection. She gives lots of kisses and is a total cuddle bug. She’s treat motivated, will eventually offer a sit, and takes treats very gently.
-Once she got comfortable, she even picked up a toy to play! She was happy to curl up in my lap and flip over for belly rubs, soaking up all the love. When I stopped, she suddenly popped up, ran a few circles around me, and came plowing right back into my lap! 😂 Her little burst of energy lasted about 10 seconds before she settled right back in for more belly rubs and kisses.
-She was otherwise very calm and relaxed, with medium energy overall. She walked perfectly on the way back without pulling or jumping up. This girl has a sweet, affectionate side and a tiny little firecracker hiding in there, too!
-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros
Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids
•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt
•Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.
•Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.
•There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.
•To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.
**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**
•The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30
**We ask that if you’re looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog.
